I build and maintain websites for small businesses, which means I live with hosting companies long after the sale. Here is my honest take on SiteGround in 2026.

What SiteGround gets right

Speed and support. Their servers run on Google Cloud, their built-in caching is excellent, and when something breaks their chat support responds in minutes with actual answers. For a business owner who cannot afford downtime, that support quality is the headline feature.

What to watch

The renewal price. Like most hosts, SiteGround hooks you with a low first-year rate and renews noticeably higher. Budget for the renewal price, not the promo. Storage is also tighter than some competitors, though a typical small business site will never hit the limit.

Who it is for

Small businesses that treat their website as a revenue tool and want it fast and supported. If your site brings you even one customer a month, the difference in cost versus a bargain host is a rounding error.

Who should skip it

Hobby sites and tight budgets. If the site is not making you money yet, start cheaper and upgrade later.

Bottom line

SiteGround is my pick when a client says just make it fast and reliable. Check current SiteGround pricing here. And if you want your site moved there without touching anything technical, migration is included in my care plans.
