Cheap hosting has a bad reputation, mostly earned. Hostinger is the exception I keep recommending for businesses starting out. Here is why, and where the catch is.
What Hostinger gets right
Price to performance. For a few dollars a month you get LiteSpeed servers, which are genuinely fast for WordPress, plus free SSL and email. I have client sites on Hostinger loading in under two seconds, which beats plenty of sites paying five times more elsewhere.
The catch
Two things. First, the advertised price requires paying years upfront, and renewals cost more. Second, support is decent but not SiteGround-level. Responses can take longer and you may have to push past scripted answers.
Who it is for
New businesses, tight budgets, and simple sites. If you are launching your first real website and every dollar counts, Hostinger is the best value in hosting right now.
Who should skip it
Established businesses where an hour of downtime costs real money. Pay up for premium support elsewhere.
