Cartoon Nick watched a client type "I own a landscaping company in Fontana, we do..." into a chat for the fourteenth time. Fourteen times. That is fourteen chances to explain it slightly differently and get slightly different answers.

Every major AI has a place to say it once. In Claude it is Projects. Here is the setup, and the maintenance nobody does.

AI at Work Tip #73: One Project, one brand brief, every conversation

Create a Project named after your business. In the project instructions paste this and fill it in:

BUSINESS: [name], [what you do], [city and service area]
CUSTOMERS: [who they are, what they worry about]
OFFERS AND PRICES: [list, with actual numbers]
VOICE: [3 adjectives]. Write like a human. No em dashes, no corporate speak, no exclamation points.
NEVER SAY: [banned words or claims]
ALWAYS: point calls to action to [website]; use my real prices; ask before inventing a fact about my business.
FORMAT DEFAULTS: copy-paste ready, code blocks for anything I will paste elsewhere, one recommendation instead of five options.

Add your services page, your price sheet, and three pieces of writing you like as project files. Every chat inside the Project now starts already knowing you. With Anthropic's cache pricing drop this month, that reused context is also cheap.

AI at Work Tip #74: Memory hygiene, once a month

AI memory is like a shared drive: useful until it fills with junk. Once a month, open your Project (or ChatGPT's memory settings) and run this:

List everything you currently remember about me and my business as short bullet points. Mark anything that is out of date, contradictory, or a one-time detail that should not persist. Then propose the cleaned-up list. Do not delete anything until I confirm.

Prices change. Offers end. A model that remembers your 2025 pricing will quote it to a customer in 2026.

What's hot right now

ChatGPT added project-specific memory settings in August, so you can now keep client work from bleeding into your personal chats. Meta's Muse Spark has a contributor tier that discounts usage if you share data, which is exactly the kind of thing you do not want on a project that contains client information. Read the toggle before you flip it.

Where your web guy fits in

The brand brief above is the same document I build for every client during onboarding. It feeds their website copy, their ads, their chatbot, and now their AI tools. Getting it written once, properly, is part of every project at webguynick.com, and clients keep it forever.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Claude Project?

A workspace in Claude that holds instructions and files so every conversation inside it starts with your context.

How often should I clean up AI memory?

Monthly. Prices, offers, and staff change, and stale memory produces confidently wrong answers.
